NOTES: This Audemars Piguet watch from the 1950s is an exceptionally rare and valuable timepiece. It features an 18K yellow gold screw back case with a 35mm diameter and an original silver dial with yellow gold indexes. The back is numbered and screwed on. The watch is powered by the rare caliber P2499 automatic movement with central seconds, produced from 1953 to 1958, with only 700 units of this caliber ever made.
This movement was succeeded by the K2071 and K2072 movements, both based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre 493, highlighting a shared heritage with Jaeger-LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin.
