Roy & Sacha Davidoff SA
THE BROTHERS
ROY DAVIDOFF, co-founder
Roy received his first vintage watch from his dad when he was 13: a 1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark II Chronograph with a racing dial. He continued to collect watches through his childhood, learning about all the historic watch brands while following his father through the auction houses and has one of the biggest collections of auction catalogs and brand heritage books in Europe.
At 16, he learned about his passion for the trade and began selling watches as a side job. By the time he was 21, after his grenadier military service in Switzerland, he started working professionally with vintage watch collectors from around the world and continued collecting himself.
For over a decade now, he has been collecting and working based in Geneva and specializing in watch design, sales, and sales training for companies like Bovet Fleurier, Jacob & Co and IWC. The lovable watchaholic founded his own vintage watch company, ROY & SACHA DAVIDOFF SA, with his younger brother in order to transmit his knowledge and passion for vintage watches.
SACHA DAVIDOFF, co-founder
Sacha became interested in vintage watches from observing his older brother collecting, visiting auction houses from a young age and starting to collect himself. It was their hobby to talk about watches on weekends and Roy started Sacha’s own collection with a 1950‘s Rolex Oysterdate.
Sacha continued collecting and researching vintage wristwatches during his college years he started his career working in media and marketing for various ad agencies. In 2006, he decided to move back to his hometown, Geneva, and began work at Bovet Fleurier, a traditional Swiss watch manufacturer. Over the next seven years, Sacha managed the Bovet subsidiaries: Bovet Japan in Tokyo and Bovet USA LLC in Miami. Subsequently, he decided to partner up with his brother and founded ROY & SACHA DAVIDOFF SA specializing in vintage wristwatches.
Today, he travels around the world acquiring vintage wristwatches for the ROY & SACHA DAVIDOFF SA store and his personal collection as well.
