NOTES: This Audemars Piguet watch from 1964 is an exceptionally rare to find in this configuration especially since brands seldom crafted watches in white gold during this period. Indeed, this example is encased in a tonneau shaped, 18K white gold screw back case in 34mm. The Key 1 stamped inside the caseback signifies that this case was manufactured by famed Genevan casemaker Wenger known for having made a large portion of the Patek Philippe 2499 cases.
The watch is powered by the caliber K2072 automatic movement with its hobnail decorated gold rotor with Cotes de Geneve center.
The K2071 and K2072 movements, both based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre 493, highlighting a shared heritage with Jaeger-LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin. The rarity, originality, and condition of this watch make it highly collectible.
