NOTES: The Breguet Tourbillon 3357 was released in the early 1990's following the 3350 reference 1989. The Breguet tourbillion pays hommage to the founder: Abraham Louis Breguet inventor of the tourbillon, patented June 26, 1801 or 7 Messidor Year IX (9) from the French Republican Calendar. Hence why this model is often referred to as the Messidor and, as a tribute, it is engraved in French on the back of the movement: Brevet du 7 Messidor an 9 or Patent from 7 Messidor year 9. This patented mobile carriage, or tourbillon cage, allowed the escapement to rotate 360 degrees and improve regularity and therefore chronometry by countering the effects of gravity on this most sensitive part of the movement. This particular reference is fitted with the caliber 558T, which was designed by Daniel Roth, when he was a master watchmaker for the brand and based on Lemania base movement.
