CONDITION REPORT: The case appears worn, but overall still crisp and serial number still clearly visible on the back. The dial is pristinely preserved. Overall, excellent example.
NOTES: This Audemars Piguet timepiece houses the renowned Audemars Piguet 13VZSSC caliber movement, originally derived from the Valjoux 13-ligne blank (13VZ), known for its use in more complex watches like perpetual calendars (See Patek Philippe 1518). Despite its chronograph origins, the movement's efficiency improves when used in a time-only display, enhancing overall precision. The watch boasts a 37mm case with a screwback design, a rarity for Audemars Piguet of the era, along with a dust cover for added movement protection. The silvered dial with a modest "Audemars Piguet" signature, and exquisite côtes de Genève decoration on the movement. The famous casemaker showcasing known for their craftsmanship C. R. S. (Spillman S.A.) later became renowned for crafting cases for Rolex Daytonas and other prestigious houses.
