DIAL: Black glossy dial with white gold applied tritium luminous hour markers, beveled date aperture at 3 o’clock. Mercedes hour and pencil minutes hand, lollipop seconds and red color GMT hand indicating the second time zone.

CASE: 40mm, stainless steel with black rotating bezel and sapphire crystal with loupe for date at 3 o’clock.

MOVEMENT: Caliber 3175, Self-winding mechanical movement with 31 jewels

BRACELET: Rolex stainless steel Oyster fliplock bracelet 93150/501B, date code O2 (1990)

CONDITION REPORT: Worn. Excellent condition and all original, dial has gorgeous patina and the case is still thick even if its been lightly refreshed in the past. Overall stunning and honest example.

NOTES: A very early example of the 16700 that includes original box, outer box, warranty sleeve, serial number tag and booklet.
Does NOT include original warranty paper, but just about everything else.

In 1988 the reference 16700 replaced the 16750 with a different case, sapphire crystal and 3175 caliber instead of 3075. The reference 16700 was priced lower compared to the GMT Master II Ref. 16710 introduced around the same time (The 16710 replaced the 16760 in 1989). The 16700 is the last GMT Master. Sometimes this 16700 reference is called "The Last Master".
It came with a tritium dial until 1997 (U serial) and Luminova starting in 1998. The model was then entirely discontinued in 1999.
