NOTES: According to the Omega Museum, the present watch was produced October 14, 1971 and delivered to Hawaii Duty Free (DFS).

The 'NO NASA' caseback is very rare and was only produced for a short transitional period while Omega & NASA came to an agreement regarding the final inscription to be used on the case back. What followed was the inscription which remains until today: Flight-qualified by NASA for all manned space missions. This small batch was blank because the NASA press department had not properly approved the caseback texts and a review was needed in order to continue between the straight writing caseback and the circular writing backs that have followed since.

DFS is the world’s leading travel retailer and Hawaii was where it all started. The Honolulu International Airport was the first duty free shop in the United States, opened in 1962. Since then, DFS continued to expand its local presence in Hawaii, opening its first downtown store in Honolulu in 1968 and its flagship location in Waikiki Square in 1975. DFS opened its Maui outpost at the Kahului Airport 22 years later in 1997. The brand is already deeply ingrained in the community and reputation remain even stronger today.
